Are you going through severe pains and suffering? Do you find it challenging to get a job? Are you sick and looking for healing? Are you finding it difficult to quit smoking on your own?

Whatever your troubles, there is nothing impossible with God. There is no condition that God cannot change, and there is no battle that God cannot win.

Think of the works of the devil even during the days of Christ – To stop the spread of the Gospel. Jesus was killed. The Apostles were also killed. That was thousands of years ago.

Yet, to this day, we know Christ is the savior of the world. Does that not tell you something? That God is unstoppable!!!

Here is the truth; God is all-powerful and all-knowing. He created the heavens and the earth. God made everything happen at his own time. He also created man to live and dwell in all he created.

Whatever your temptations are, do not fall for the tricks of the devil. Remember the words of God to the prophet Jeremiah. God said,

“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?  Jeremiah 32:27

Think about how God created the world. The Bible says everything was made in seven days. Just seven days.

Look around you

The sun, the moon, the stars, plants, animals, the sea, land were all created by God. God only needed to say the words, and they were made.

He said, let there be light, and there was light (Genesis 1:3). He did not have to do anything. His words are so powerful that just saying those words is all he needed to do.

When God separated the lands from the sea, he did not have to do anything with his hands too. He just said it, and it was done.

And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.  Genesis 1:9

Therefore, whatever the problem or challenge you are going through, trust in God.

If you are sick, God only needs to say, “you are healed.” If you are yet to find a Job, God only needs to say, “you are employed.”

Is there anything too hard for God?

When you are downhearted with life situations, you must inspire yourself with the Bible’s words. So let me share with you the prophecy of God to the prophet Jeremiah.

In those days, the Israelites were under attack by the Babylonians. Their lands were about to be captured. God was angry with the Israelites because they served other gods.

Despite already near captivity, God told Jeremiah to buy a piece of land from his cousin. But, unfortunately, the land was situated just where the Babylonians have captured. This surprised Jeremiah.

Why will God ask him to buy a piece of land that was already under captivity? Why did God want him to purchase when he was in prison?

Yet, in disbelief, Jeremiah obeyed God’s instructions and paid for the land. He then prayed thus;

“After I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to the Lord:

“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:16-17

God replied to him and said;

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

When you are going through challenges, Don’t think you are alone. The ways of God are so mysterious that we may not understand him. His thoughts are higher than our thought.

Therefore, think positively about God’s power. Think about all he has done. Despite any level of disappointment or unhappiness, God can make a change in a minute.

Is anything too hard for the Lord? The story of Abraham

Another story that will inspire you is the story of Abraham and Sarah. Abraham was a faithful servant of God. He obeyed all that God instructed him to do. He was a righteous man.

Yet, he was ninety and nine years old and had no child with his wife Sarah, who was ninety years old.

You could imagine the pains in the heart of Sarah. Year in year out, she tried everything. But, still, she did not conceive.

Then the Lord visited Abraham and made a covenant with him. God promised him to be the father of all nations. He promised that through him, there would arise kings and princes.

Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. 

Genesis 17:5-7

At this point, Abraham was yet to have a child. But God has seen the future. We must learn from this. When you are going through difficulties, do not think God has abandoned you.

Abraham was faithful, a prophet of God, and obedient, yet he had no child of his own. His only child was from the maid Hagar, who God called Ismail.

He never disobeyed God despite his wife’s inability to conceive. Instead, he remained faithful to God.

God’s promise to Abraham.

Then God said to Abraham, your wife will conceive a son in her old age. This surprised Abraham. How could a woman who was ninety years old conceive? This is beyond the imagination of men.

Medically, menopause starts at 51 years. This means Sarah was already 39 years past the fertile time. Yet, God told Abraham, Your wife will conceive and bear you a child.

In Abraham’s thoughts, that’s not possible, but he believed. So when Sarah overheard the Angels reminding Abraham of God’s promise, she laughed within herself.

Here are the words of God to Abraham

And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.  Genesis 18:13-14

Sarah laughed. Abraham Laughed also. They never believed it was possible. Yet, God did the impossible.

Because of the powers of God, Sarah did conceive and had a son called Isaac (Genesis 21:1-3). Therefore, when you face all manner of temptations, trust in God to save you.

Is There Anything Too Hard For Me? The story of Lazarus’ resurrection

Death to man is the end of life. But to God, it is not. God can do anything, even the resurrection of the dead. Another inspiring story to strengthen your mind in times of difficulties is Lazarus’s resurrection.

Lazarus and his sisters (Mary and Martha) are close friends of Jesus Christ. So when Lazarus fell sick, his sisters informed Jesus of his illness. They told him because they believed he had the power to heal Lazarus.

Yet, Christ was not in a hurry to go. He wanted the Jews and his disciples to understand that; with God, nothing is impossible. He wanted them to see for themselves that God could do anything.

Four days after the death of Lazarus, Jesus arrived at Judaea. Martha, Lazarus’ sister, rushed to Christ. She said,

Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.  John 11:21-27

When must all learn from the powerful words of Martha. She never doubted the power of God. On the contrary, she believed that there is absolutely nothing impossible with God.

She recognized that if Jesus had come earlier, Christ would have saved his brother Lazarus from death. However, since Jesus is coming four days later, she knows God will give him anything he asks.

At this point, Lazarus was already dead. His body was already decomposing, Yet she believed that God could do anything.

The word “whatever“ should inspire you. Whatever means anything you wish to ask according to God’s will. If you are going through persecutions, put your confidence in the power of God.

Jesus said unto her;

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God? John 11:40

Jesus prayed to God, and with a loud voice, called unto Lazarus, who came back to life.
