The Holy Spirit is a game-changer for believers.
It comes into you as a gift and transforms you into a new creature. The way you think, the words you say, and your lifestyle changes overnight.
Your goal changes too. You are more concerned about God’s kingdom than anything else in the world.
I have had an encounter myself that has transformed me into this person I am today.
For the most part of my adulthood, I ignorantly lived in sin – Fornicating, clubbing, lying, and cheating.
Everything changed the moment I decided to read the bible. Each day I tried to read a whole chapter and gradually, God’s word began to sink in.
In a short while, my thoughts changed. My goals changed too.
These changes are evidence of the existence of the holy spirit. The holy spirit is a powerful force of God. It comes in and teaches you the right things you should know.
It comforts you and remembers you of God’s word in times of temptation. According to his grace, the holy spirit reveals the unseen to you.
In fact, there is no way you can serve God without the holy spirit in you.
Jesus made this known to Nicodemus, a Pharisee that believed in the works of Jesus.
Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again
Through the holy spirit, God teaches, comforts, and encourages us to do his work.

10. Matthew 28:18-20 – baptized in the holy spirit verse

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age
What is the holy spirit?
The holy spirit is often misinterpreted as the third part of Trinity, but this goes against all biblical understanding of the scriptures.
The holy spirit is not a person; rather it is the spirit of the almighty God.
It is translated from the Greek word pneuma and the Hebrew word ruach which means wind or to breathe. Here is how the holy spirit is described in the old testament
So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty
But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the Lord, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin
You can see from these two verses that the holy spirit is not a person but the spirit of God. Through the spirit, God enforces his work.
Another example to clarify the nature of God spirit and debunk the holy spirit as the third part of the Trinity is the revelation of Stephen
But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.“Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”
You will notice he did not see the holy spirit, but instead, he saw Jesus Christ standing on the right hand of God.
Nothing was said about the nature of the Holy Spirit; instead, Stephen was filled with the holy spirit that enabled him to see what God has revealed.
Another example that debunks the trinity is Paul greeting to all the early Christian churches. You will notice the words of Paul.
He never mentioned the name of the Holy Spirit. Instead, he consistently mentioned God our father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
To the Roman Christians
To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ
To the Christians at Corinthians he said;
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
Other examples of Pauls greeting can be found in 2 Corinthians 1:2, Galatians 1:3, Philippians 1:2, Thessalonians 1:1, 1 Timothy 1:2 and Titus 1:4
You will notice that Paul did not mention the Holy Spirit in all his greeting to the early Christians. If the Holy Spirit was the third part of a union, there is no way Paul would have missed such an essential personality in his greetings.
Instead, The holy spirit is the spirit of God.
