Bible verses about believing without seeing NIV

As Christians, faith is an essential tool we must have.

An easy way to define faith is our ability to believe in Christ without seeing him.

There are numerous people in the scripture that had an opportunity to see christ.

And they saw His signs and wonders.

That, of course, made them believe easily in Jesus.

But in the “last days,” we must believe in Jesus through faith.

And thankfully, there are many bible verses about believing without seeing that can help build our trust in Jesus.

We know that Christ exists through faith.

We also have hope for eternal salvation through faith.

There is a blessing for those that believe even without seeing.

I have put together relevant bible verses about believing without seeing to inspire you.

Read and be blessed.

Bible verses about believing without seeing

John 20:29.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

The good news

Don’t be too quick to doubt the existence of God.

Jesus existed for many years before His birth on earth.

Christ said, Before Abraham, I was.”

A declaration that is hard for many faithless people to understand.

If we must have salvation, we must believe in Christ.

Christ is our only hope to be saved.

So, without seeing Him, we must believe that he exists and have faith in Him.

This passage of the bible describes christ’s conversation with Thomas.

As you know, Thomas was one of Christ’s apostles.

After the death of Christ, he never believes in the resurrection of Jesus.

This may have been for obvious reasons of unbelief and the significant effect the death of Christ may have had on him.

But he was honest and repeatedly did not believe the word of the other apostles who saw Christ.

When christ reappeared about a week later, he said, “blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

If we must serve christ, we must have absolute faith in him.

We must not see a miracle or a sign to believe in Jesus.

We must accept Jesus through faith even without seeing him.

If you do this, you are blessed already.

1 Peter 1:8.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.

The good news

When you fully accept Christ as your savior, he gifts you with faith.

Without faith, we cannot serve God.

Without believing in him, we cannot understand his purpose.

We would only find joy in serving christ when we have an unshaken faith in Him.

But how can we believe Jesus when we do not see him?

How can we keep increasing our faith every day?

The truth is faith is a gift from God.

God has called us and gifted us with faith to believe in Jesus.

Of course, we never had a physical encounter with Jesus.

We weren’t even alive when Jesus turned water into wine.

If we must serve Christ, we must learn to trust in him regardless of what our natural mind says.

2 Corinthians 5:7.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

For we live by faith, not by sight.

An essential aspect of Christianity is blind faith.

We believe that Jesus is the son of God.

We believe that if we accept Jesus as our lord and savior, we will have eternal life.

Also, we believe Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes close to God except through him.

This belief is the basis of our faith.

Then we must trust in Jesus without seeing him.

As Christians, we must let faith direct our paths.

We must trust in God no matter the silent distrust in our hearts.

We must always believe that God is watching and will help us with every problem we face.

this is the main reason why prayer and faith are intertwined.

You need to pray and ask God to build up your faith.

On the contrary, don’t let your Christian life be driven by what you see.

You don’t need miracles to believe in Christ.

You also don’t need to be rich to accept the blessing of God.

Instead, we must walk with faith that every one of our prayers will be answered.

Hebrews 11:1.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

To unbelievers, they don’t understand why we have faith in persons we do not see.

How can you trust in God when you haven’t had a physical encounter with Him?

How can you believe Jesus when we never physically witness his birth, life, death, and resurrection?

How can we say we have faith in God when there are persecutions everywhere in the world?

These are some complicated questions that unbelievers may ask.

But we must not get carried away by those with natural minds.

We know we have seen Jesus because we are now born again.

We know we have encountered Jesus cause he is always there for us in times of need.

This is why Paul describes faith as confidence and trust in what we have longed for.

We have hope in Christ as our savior and redeemer.

We have hope in God that he will protect us from our enemies.

We trust that God will make a way when there is none.

Our ability to believe in Jesus at all times, even when we do not see him, is proof of our faith in Him.

Hebrews 11:27.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.

I have had an encounter with Jesus, and I know how powerful such moments are.

You feel so connected to God’s word and aspire to always live in His presence.

You become weak yet with strength.

You become meek yet with so much power to move mountains.

These are proof of God’s power in us through our trust in him.

The truth is when faith comes, fear disappears.

This is exactly what this bible scripture is trying to teach here.

Moses didn’t have the guts to face Pharoah on his own.

He was skeptical and, at some point, even made excuses or doubted himself.

But when God’s power came upon him, he believed.

He became bold and believed that he could do all things through Christ.

Same way, we must have faith in Jesus and be patient.

Faith in Jesus opens the door for important encounters in our lives.

Luke 1:45.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

This is another crucial bible verse about believing without seeing.

There are times when we are not sure of what to do.

We aren’t sure if we should continue in our job or seek a divorce from our partner.

When we are confused, we must trust God and believe in His existence.

The truth is there is a blessing for those who believe in God.

When we trust in God, we understand that we can accomplish anything we desire.

God quickly gives us the wisdom to discern right from wrong.

We become wise with the power to change the world for good.

This bible verse explains the faith shown by Mary and Elizabeth.

They both had divine encounters with the Holy Spirit.

And from the first encounter, they believed.

How else could a woman believe she would have a son without a man?

How else could one believe God would open her womb for a baby despite many years of barrenness?

If God blesses us, we must have blind faith in him.

John 20:8.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.

There are many people who wouldn’t believe unless they see.

They want to see Christ; if they can’t, they will never believe in Him.

They say many shameless words to discourage believers from trusting in God.

But the truth is, we must never get carried away.

We know that the devil will tempt us in diverse ways.

And if he could make us doubt God’s existence, he has succeeded in destroying our faith.

But he will fail because God will always keep a watch over us.

John 4:48.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

48 “Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.”

People will always question the power of God.

They will keep doubting God unless they see signs and wonders.

They want to see the lame walk again.

They want to see the blind regain their sight again.

If they can’t see these things, they question the power of God.

This is why there are many false prophets all over the world.

These men understand how to trick people into believing that they are God-sent.

They fake miracles and do all sought of evil practices.

This bible verse reminds us of such people.

We must keep praying for them to receive the gift of faith we have already obtained.

John 14:1.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me.

This is one reassuring bible verse in hard times.

When we have no solutions to our problems.

We must trust in God.

If you believe in God, also believe in Jesus.

Christ has risen from the dead and sits at the right hand of God.

He is power with all principalities and power underneath his throne.

If Christ says, “believe in me,” don’t doubt; trust Him for answers.

Isaiah 26:3.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

You will keep in perfect peacethose whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

God will stand with you in times of trouble.

He will give you peace in hard times.

He will never forsake you but will stand and fight your battles.

If you keep trusting and believing in Jesus, he will help you overcome your worries.

Isaiah 12:2-3.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

Surely God is my salvation;I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense[a];he has become my salvation.” With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

Jesus is our only hope for eternal life.

He is our only path to salvation.

If we must be saved, we must first believe in Jesus Christ.

There is no other pathway to draw water from the wells of salvation except an unshaken faith in Jesus.

John 12:44.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

44 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.

Believing in Jesus means you also believe in God.

Jesus said, “I and my father are one.”

This means they have the same purpose and expect us to trust them to make way for us.

God will never forsake you. He will never leave you in the wilderness.

If we believe in God, he will give us the strength to fight our battles.

John 6:40.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

Whether we believe in God or not, it is for our sake.

God has no end or beinning.

But we are metal who will return to the dust.

If we do not believe in Jesus, there is no hope for resurrection and life.

God has promised those who believe in him eternal life.

He will raise them into a kingdom where peace and happiness dwell.

2 Corinthians 4:18.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

This is one crucial bible verse about focusing on the future.

We must stop thinking with our natural minds.

We must pray for the holy spirit to teach and reveal important secrets to us.

That way, we can be sure to see the eternal promise of salvation.

God will bless those who believe in Him.

Romans 8:24-25.

bible verses about believing without seeing NIV (15)

24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

This bible verse teaches us how to patiently trust in God.

Of course, we need to stay confident in god promise.

If God says I will never leave or forsake you, he will keep his word.

But first. We must have an unshaken faith in God.

Hope that is seen is no hope at all.

If we must trust in God’s plans for us, we must do that without any doubt in our minds.
