One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

This is one crucial bible verse you must read when making new friends.

We are humans and only have limited power.

We can’t see beyond the physical and can hardly predict the future.

Since we cannot see the future, we must depend on God when making new friends.

God is all-knowing and sees our future.

He knows the best people we need to accomplish our dreams.

God also knows the people that will abandon us in tough times.

If we must make new friends, we need people that will stand with us through difficult moments.

We need friends who will never leave us in challenging moments.

And most importantly, we need reliable friends.

This bible verse teaches us to make reliable friends only.

Friend that we can depend on in every area of our lives.

We need friends who will tell us the truth when we are wrong and criticize us when we make bad decisions.

We need a friend that will encourage us to be the best in all areas of our lives and not people that will be jealous of every one of our breakthroughs.

This bible clearly states that a true friend will always stick with you.

They will also be there to help you navigate good and bad times.

And because of their love for you, they stick as though they are your family.

So, make reliable friends who will stand by you in tough times.

Pray, and God will help you choose the best friends you need.

Proverbs 17:17.

Bible verses about making new friends [NIV SCRIPTURES] (17)

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.

This bible verse explains what a true friend should be like.

A true friend must love you with all his heart.

He must be supportive of all your good plans.

He must be able to advise you when you are confused with specific issues in your life.

And in times of celebration, your friend must be able to celebrate with you.

If we must have friends, we must ask God to help us choose the best.

And this is because we can not see a man’s heart.

We cannot tell if our new friends will love us the way we are.

We cannot tell if our new friends are only interested in what they want to gain.

This is why prayer and faith are essential when making a new friend.

When we pray to God, He sends his holy spirit to direct every word, action, and decision we make.

He attracts likes minds that will complement who you already are.

This bible verse teaches that a true friend will always love you.

He will not love you only when things are good but will love you even in painful moments of your life.

He will be there in times of adversity and be ready to help you heal.

In times of trials and persecution, a good friend will never let you fight your battle alone.

So, don’t make a new friend without prayer and Guidance. Ask God to lead, and he will direct you.

John 15:13-15.

Bible verses about making new friends [NIV SCRIPTURES] (17)

13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command.

Bible verses about making new friends [NIV SCRIPTURES] (17)

15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

If we must make new friends, we must look for friends with Christ-like qualities.

We need a friend that will love us with all their heart.

And no matter the situation, they will stand with us to overcome our trials.

We need a friend that will forgive us when we repent and forget all our past sins against them.

We don’t need people that will hold grudges and never let go of our past mistakes.

Or people that will use our mistakes against us.

So, in simple terms, we need people that behave like Christ.

Christ was loving, caring, and compassionate and gave his life for us.

He was willing to save us from bondage by sacrificing his life for our sake.

Christ went through humiliation and pain to reconcile us to the Father.

He was beaten and spat on just because he loved us.

So, If you are seeking a new friendship, you must search for those with these Christ-like qualities.

And most importantly, we need friends to help build our faith in God.

If we must serve God, we must believe first that Jesus is our savior.

We must accept every commandment of God and do them.

We must also make friends that will pray and meditate with us.

So, don’t make bad friends. Instead, always look for people that will bring out the best in you.

Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friendsprings from their heartfelt advice.

This is another crucial bible verse about making new friends.

A good friend will bring peace to your heart.

He will make your life pleasant and give you the strength you need to overcome hard times.

And when you are sad, a good friend knows how to make you laugh.

He will always say the right words to make you happy.

In uncertain times, A good friend will always advise you on the best path.

They are not jealous of you and will give heartfelt advice to help you succeed in your plans.

So, don’t just make new friends for the sake of doing so.

Make friends that will make you better and will stand by you always.

Of course, you should examine every piece of advice you get from your friend. This is because some people have bad intentions for your life.

They will give you bad advice because they want you to fail.

But God will never allow this to happen and will choose the best friends for your life.

However, Finding these types of friends is nothing easy.

This is why you need to ask God for help.

Let God decide who comes in and who we share our secrets.

This is because if we do not have friends who genuinely love us, we are in for a disappointment.

We need people that will say the right words in our absence and defend us with their lives.

A true friend is careful about every word they say about you.

He is careful not to say or do anything that would put your life at risk.

And when you are in danger, he lets you on about the secrets of your enemies.

He is confident to condemn evil plans against your life and stand by the truth.

This passage of the bible explains the conversation between Saul and Jonathan.

Despite being Israel’s crown prince, Jonathan loved David more than his Father.
