The first time I read this scripture, it was tough to understand.
And more so, there are plenty of reassuring bible verses about God’s love.
But, Why do we go through so much pain if God truly loves us?
Or, Has he abandoned us?
The truth is, If you let your mind, it’s pretty easy to doubt God’s Love.
I’ve had my experiences too.
Just a few days ago, in the clinic, I met a young lady who was sexually abused.
She was drugged on her way back to campus.
Suddenly, she found herself in the middle of nowhere.
Her only chance of survival was to let them rape her.
So, she succumbed and was raped.
All through our conversation, she was devastated and scared.
But just when she was about to leave, she said, “thank God for my life.”
Her appreciation of God’s love could quickly appear absurd to freethinkers. But she was right.
What if she was raped and killed?
We all face temptation every day but must reminisce about God’s ultimate plan to give us an expected end.
He said, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
