Ways to end bad habits
1. Choose your friends wisely
if you must succeed and return to righteousness, you must carefully choose those around you.
These are mainly people who take pleasure in a similar experience.
For example, if you smoke, you would easily find yourself with friends who smoke.
And while it is not easy to do, if you are committed to the process, letting go of bad friends could easily open up your pathways to getting rid of your bad habits.
These friends are people who have been with you for a while.
But if you must overcome your bad habits, you must renew your mind and friends.
The scriptures say, “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm” Proverbs 13: 20.
So you see, your friends matter. If you stick with your current friends, getting rid of your bad habits becomes very difficult.
2. Ask God for help
You can ask God to take control of your situation.
Find a quiet time to pray and ask God to help renew your mind.
There isn’t anything God cannot heal or make new.
Your addictions or bad habits can be a thing of the past if you have faith in God.
While you are in the process, be focused on yourself and be committed to change.
