How to fix your broken marriage with scriptures

1. Through prayers

A family that fails to pray ceaselessly will struggle

And that’s because we need God’s protection

We need God’s omnipresent powers over our lives and that of our marriages

Therefore, do not be afraid to pray

There are lots of reasons for a troubled marriage

It could be infidelity, lack of trust, or even financial issues

But in all, we must pray to God for unity in our families

I have seen women struggling with a cheating husband and vice versa

It is so painful to watch the man or woman you love cheating on you

Sometimes, when they do this, they feel no remorse

As expected, you are heartbroken and thinking about how to get the love of your wife or husband back again

If you are, prayer is a powerful tool you can depend on

The scriptures say,

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

2.  Forgive and move on

No one is perfect

And you have personally hurt your spouse in one way or the other

In times of troubles, you must let go of your pride and seek for peace

We must forgive all their faults because that’s the first step towards reconciliation

If we do not forgive, we will continue to feel hurt and never find happiness in our home

It could even get worse as you hold grudges in your minds

Therefore, we must obey the scriptures in our marriages

God has advised us to forgive one another

Because, despite our iniquities, God has always shown us mercy when we ask

The scriptures say

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

3.  Do not pay evil for evil

We just talked about forgiveness and how it is a command from God

Our forgiveness must always come from the dept of our hearts

I understand that it is difficult to completely let go, especially when you’ve been hurt so severely

But you must let go, and try to fix every issue in your home

There is no need repaying sin at a later date

There is no reason to hurt your partner’s feelings again

When we forgive, we must wholeheartedly let go

The scriptures say,

Do not say, “I’ll do to them as they have done to me;
I’ll pay them back for what they did.”

4.  Divorce may be an option (but in rare cases)

The fact that you no longer feel attracted to your wife or husband is not a criterion for a divorce

As Christian, there are only three ways to break away from a marriage

That’s through the death of a partner, infidelity, and when an unbelieving partner decided to end a marriage abruptly

May God grant you the wisdom and peace of mind that you desire.
